 The Debate of Ideas

Bridging the STEM learning gap between boys and girls is possible

Stereotypes transmitted by parents, teachers, and society, in general, underlie this imbalance which can be overcome through targeted teaching practices. For example, a problem solution approach in teaching, involving students in discussions and giving them a flexible intelligence model, could narrow the gender gap. Innovative teaching methods are the focus of a research project based on active and cooperative learning.
