Calculation model in the sectors education and social services of municipalities: the project with the Polytechnic of Milan

SOSE has undertaken a research project in collaboration with the Polytechnic of Milan including study, research and training activities aiming to study aspects and issues concerning calculation models for standard expenditure needs of Municipalities.

The research, carried out in the sectors education and social services, aims to evaluate the effect of the standardization process of expenditure and of the performances of local authorities on learning levels and investigates new standardization techniques in case of multi-output services like the services provided by municipalities in the functions  education and social care.

On the base of the data related to the period 2010-2015 and collected by SOSE the study investigated how local authorities provide different complementary education services and how these differences can explain the different scores of student tests.
