On October 4th in Warsaw, Poland, SOSE will be present at the conference "Development of a New Corrective and Compensatory Mechanism for Local Governments in Poland", organised by the Polish Ministry of Finance.

A panel of European experts, among which SOSE's Head of Research and Development for Public Expenditure, Francesco Porcelli, will discuss issues related to the equalisation mechanisms of local governments expenditure. Starting from the Italian experience, Francesco Porcelli will illustrate the criteria and methods used to determine local governments expenditure standard needs.
