Dal 1° gennaio 2024 diventa operativa l'incorporazione di SOSE in Sogei, come previsto dalla legge n.112 del 2023 che ha disposto la fusione della società.

Massimo Bordignon gained a first degree in Philosophy at the University of Florence; he then moved to the UK to attend post-graduate studies in Economics (MA, Essex; PhD, Warwick). His research interests are mainly concentrated on Public Economics and Political Economics. The author of several books, he has published extensively in many national and international scientific journals, and served as associated editor for several international and national journals.

He was President of the Italian Society of Public Economists, member of the Advisory Scientific Committee of IFO (Munich) and member of the Managing Committee of the International Institute of Public Finance. He taught at Birmingham University, Bergamo, Brescia, and Venezia, and as visiting professor in several universities in the UK, the US, Germany, Belgium, Sweden and China. Currently, he is full professor of Public Economics at the Catholic University of Milan, where he also chaired the Department of Economics and Finance.

He often writes on the Italian press and he is a founder and a board member of the bi-weekly on line magazine www.lavoce.info. He worked as a consultant for several national and international institutions, including the World Bank and the Fiscal Affairs Department of the IMF, and acted as a member of several technical commissions within the Italian Government, particularly at the Treasury. Currently, he is a member of the European Fiscal Board, a high-level advisory body of the European Commission on fiscal rules and fiscal surveillance, and a visiting fellow at Bruegel.
