To extract value from data is the aim of Data Science considered as a set of methods, processes and techniques to collect, analyse and communicate numbers and information.

SOSE takes part to the debate on the development of the sector with a specific aim linked to its mission and its nature: to give value the information asset of public administration in order to strengthen the policy-making processes providing support to the design of public policies.

In the first appointment of the third edition of #SOSEWest includes four speeches on different but connected issues: from an overview of the tools to evaluate public policies to the identification of general economic balance models up to the analysis of tax systems and Big Data.

Each speech provided issues and contents on which to reflect and to answer a basic question: how can Data Science support a frontier public administration extracting public value from the great information asset available? Decision-making and administrative processes can benefit from this scenario together with citizens who are the final users of a strengthening process of Public Administration aiming at the development and the growth of the entire Country.

The works were introduced by Prof Vincenzo Atella, CEO of SOSE and moderated by Daniela Vuri of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”
